Romero: We dreamed of bringing the World Cup home again, but couldn't

This time, we didn't get what we wanted.

Believe me, it hurts — indescribably so. Because no one wanted to continue writing this beautiful history more than us. We dreamed of bringing the World Cup home again, but in the end, we couldn't.
