SportsAjax Amsterdam has completed the signing of Brazilian striker Marcos Leonardo from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal for a fee of €19.9 million. The 23-year-old forward, who moved to Saudi Arabia in 2024 after a strong season at Benfica, has signed a five-year contract with Ajax running until 2031. Marcos Leonardo notably scored a brace against Manchester City in the 2025 Club World Cup quarter-finals. This transfer follows Ajax's earlier signing of former Monaco player Caio Henrique for €14 million and the return of Dutch international Daley Blind on a free transfer. The deal strengthens Ajax's attacking options as part of their winter transfer window activity.
