SportsRyan Fox claimed his first major title at The 154th Open at Royal Birkdale, defeating Cameron Young by one shot with a dramatic final-hole birdie. Fox had charged into contention by equaling the lowest round in men's major history with a third-round 62. On Sunday, he overcame a two-stroke deficit to Sam Burns and reached the 72nd hole tied with Young, who had shot a final-round 64 and waited nearly two and a half hours. Fox then fired his approach to 12 feet at the par-four 18th and converted the birdie to secure victory. The win marks a career milestone for the New Zealander.
