Córdoba CF faces most intense preseason week with matches against Sevilla and Cádiz in 48 hours

Córdoba CF will begin its third week of preseason this Monday, the most demanding so far. The team led by Iván Ania will face two matches in just 48 hours, including the Trofeo Puertas de Córdoba, the event chosen to present the new project to its fans.

Training Schedule

The squad will start the week with three consecutive training sessions, scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. All sessions will:

• Begin at 8:45 AM
• Be held behind closed doors at the Ciudad Deportiva
• Be conditioned by the need to avoid high temperatures as much as possible

The coaching staff will use these training sessions to prepare for the two commitments of the week and continue integrating the numerous additions made during the summer transfer window.

Sevilla: A Test of Maximum Demand

Thursday will bring one of the most anticipated matches of the summer. Córdoba CF will host Sevilla FC at the Bahrain Victorious Nuevo Arcángel for the Trofeo Puertas de Córdoba.

The squad will return to work on Friday, also at 8:45 AM, at the Ciudad Deportiva. The session will have a marked recovery character for the players who have accumulated more minutes against Sevilla.

Ania will need to manage workloads with special care, as the team will compete again the following day. The proximity between both matches will force minutes to be distributed and will give opportunities to a large part of the squad.

Andalusian Derby Against Cádiz

The week will conclude on Saturday with a friendly against Cádiz CF in Sanlúcar de Barrameda.

• Context: Two clubs from the Liga Hypermotion that aspire to compete in the top zone during the upcoming season

Cádiz will try to leave behind a discreet 2025-26 campaign and has made a significant renewal of its squad for this purpose. Córdoba, for its part, continues to build a project also marked by the high number of additions.

The duel will have a special component for Yussi Diarra. The midfielder will face the team with which he played last season and which still holds his sporting rights. The player has returned to El Arcángel on loan from Cádiz, with a purchase option included in the operation.
