Ibai Gómez opens Real Zaragoza preseason training to fans on Monday

A New Era Begins with Open-Door Session

Real Zaragoza will kick off its preseason training this Monday at 9:45 AM with an open-door session—a rare move that signals a step closer to the club's fanbase. The session follows medical and physical tests conducted on Thursday and Friday for the squad.

Open-door training sessions have been highly unusual in recent preseasons held in Zaragoza, and during the regular season, such access is typically limited to no more than three sessions.

Squad Availability

Ibai Gómez and up to 10 new signings—all except Peter Ademo—will be present at Monday's training session, which includes 22 squad players. Ademo and Bazdar have permission to miss the session:

• Peter Ademo: Expected to arrive at any moment after resolving bureaucratic issues
• Bazdar: Has an extended vacation until Thursday, July 23, as his season ended on July 2 due to playing in the World Cup with Bosnia

Club Statement

"It will be the grand unveiling of a team full of new faces, both in terms of players and coaching staff, with Ibai Gómez at the helm. A starting gun for six weeks of intense work to prepare for the start of the official competition, scheduled for the last weekend of August," the club explained on its website.

"Fans who wish to attend the Sports City to see this first preseason session firsthand should enter through the main door from 9:15 AM, and can park their cars both on the access road itself and on the esplanade in front of the main door."
