SportsLiverpool officially announced on Friday that midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai has signed a contract extension tying him to the club until 2031. The 25-year-old Hungarian international, who joined from RB Leipzig in 2023, becomes one of the highest-paid players in the squad. Szoboszlai has played 147 matches for Liverpool across all competitions, scoring 28 goals, and has won the League Cup (2024) and the Premier League title (2025). Despite a mixed 2025-2026 season for Liverpool (5th in Premier League, Champions League quarter-finals), Szoboszlai had a strong personal campaign with 13 goals and 12 assists in 53 matches. He described the extension as 'perhaps my most important day' and expressed his ambition to 'win everything possible' including the Champions League.
