Labour has drawn level with Reform UK in a new Westminster voting intention poll, marking the first time in over a year the two parties have been in joint first place.
The Survation survey puts both parties at 24%, as Nigel Farage’s party loses its consistent lead and drops three percentage points.
Labour has seen a small boost, gaining five percentage points over the past month following Keir Starmer’s decision to step down as leader and prime minister.
His successor, Andy Burnham — the most popular Labour politician in the country — was confirmed as the new party leader today and will take office as prime minister on Monday.
This five-point surge is Labour’s largest single upward movement since the 2024 general election. Reform UK is now on its lowest vote share since the May 2025 local elections. Labour has not been at 24% in a Survation poll since November 20, 2025.
According to the pollsters, Starmer is leaving office “with the worst ratings of any leader we test,” holding a -33 approval rating.

Turbulence for Reform UK
The poll comes at a turbulent time for the Reform UK Party. Farage stepped down as the MP for Clacton and contested the subsequent by-election earlier this month.
He claimed he wanted an “establishment versus the people” contest, but all major parties pulled out, leaving the Reform leader to face comedy candidate Count Binface.
The move followed increased scrutiny over Farage’s finances. A parliamentary probe was launched into an undeclared £5 million donation he received shortly before running in the 2024 election, though the investigation has been paused while he does not sit in the Commons.
