My Chemical Romance's 'The Black Parade' hits No. 24 on UK Official Albums Streaming chart 20 years after release

My Chemical Romance's The Black Parade is nearing its twentieth anniversary, but the landmark collection is performing like a much newer release on the charts in the United Kingdom. The album surges on every roster it appears on this week, returning to the top 10 on one ranking and nearly halving its position on several others.

The renewed interest is clearly linked to the band's ongoing Long Live The Black Parade Tour, which began in North America in 2025 and recently moved through the U.K. My Chemical Romance played Liverpool and Glasgow before taking over Wembley Stadium for three London concerts, putting the two-decade-old album back in front of enormous crowds just before it exploded on the British charts.

The Black Parade Reaches a New Streaming Chart Peak

The Black Parade rockets from No. 64 to No. 24 on the Official Albums Streaming chart, which ranks the full-lengths and EPs that earn the most plays on streaming platforms across the U.K. No. 24 marks a new peak for the project, which has now spent nine weeks somewhere on the tally.

The album was originally released in 2006, years before the Official Albums Streaming chart was introduced. The Black Parade did not reach the tally until October 2016, a decade after it became another blockbuster for the band. The set debuted at No. 61 and returned three years later, rising to a new high of No. 51.

Before reappearing last week, The Black Parade had not been seen on the streaming-only roster since August 2025. It now flies dozens of spaces higher than its previous best showing and surges to a new all-time peak.

My Chemical Romance Matches Its Career High

My Chemical Romance first reached the Official Albums Streaming chart in March 2015 with May Death Never Stop You: The Greatest Hits. The compilation debuted on the ranking and, after returning multiple times throughout the years, eventually climbed to its all-time high of No. 24 in early June 2022.

As The Black Parade reaches that same position, the band matches its previously established career peak on the streaming-focused roster.

My Chemical Romance Has Racked Up Five Streaming Chart Wins

Three other releases by the group have also reached the Official Albums Streaming chart over the past decade:

• *The Black Parade/Living with Ghosts* — an expanded edition released to celebrate the album's tenth anniversary — stands as the band's next-highest-charting title, peaking at No. 52.

The Black Parade Climbs on Six Charts

The Black Parade rises on all six U.K. rankings where it currently appears:

The Black Parade Finds Its Way Back Into the Top 10

On the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, The Black Parade steps from No. 13 to No. 10. The former champion — one of many from the band on the genre-specific tally — had not appeared inside the top 10 since January of this year. Only a few months back, the project rose from No. 11 to No. 9 before immediately falling back to No. 11.

Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge Returns

Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge lives on four charts this week, returning to three of them:

• Re-enters both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums rankings at No. 66.
• Returns to the Official Album Downloads list at No. 87.

The earlier My Chemical Romance favorite also joins The Black Parade inside the top 10 on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart. Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge climbs from No. 11 to No. 6, sitting only a few spaces above the project currently being promoted by the group's top-grossing tour.
