At least 20 children and one adult were killed when an elementary school bus crashed in eastern Uganda, police confirmed on Friday (July 17, 2026).
The bus crashed Thursday (July 16, 2026) night in the Kapchorwa District while returning from an educational tour to the region’s Sipi Falls waterfalls, according to a statement posted on X by the Uganda Police Force.
