Former Bordeaux striker Christophe Dugarry reacted angrily on RMC's 'Rothen s'enflamme' show after the French Football Federation (FFF) confirmed on appeal the exclusion of Girondins de Bordeaux from all national championships. Dugarry, a club legend with 324 appearances, expressed shock and accused incompetents, thieves, and liars of destroying the club. He specifically called for Gérard Lopez and investment funds to leave, stating he would rather see the club restart in the regional R1 division. The club now faces potential judicial liquidation, though Dugarry drew hope from Strasbourg's similar recovery.

On the RMC show "Rothen s'enflamme", where he serves as a regular commentator, Christophe Dugarry responded to the exclusion of the Girondins de Bordeaux from all national championships — a decision confirmed on appeal this Wednesday by the French Football Federation (FFF).
"I don't really know what to say anymore, we've been strung along so much in recent years... We're more than groggy, we're shocked," said the former international striker (55 caps, 8 goals). "For years, we've been watching the parade of incompetents, thieves, and liars."
Born in Lormont, in the Bordeaux suburbs, and a legendary figure at his formative club (324 matches and 64 goals between 1989 and 1996, then again between 2000 and 2003), Dugarry continued as the Girondins move closer to judicial liquidation:
"Some people have played around with our club, spat on our club, destroyed our club, used our club. It's terrible, but I still have hope because Strasbourg succeeded after falling as low as we did. I hope that with the will of the Girondins, who are still appreciated, it will start again, but I no longer want to see Gérard Lopez, these fools, these investment funds. Get out, all of you, we'll go to R1 if we have to, but get out."
