SportsLucas Digne, the Aston Villa left-back, is set to return to Paris Saint-Germain after the World Cup, ten years after leaving the club in 2016. The 32-year-old French international has agreed to a three-year contract with the reigning double European champions. Digne has a release clause of under €10 million with Aston Villa, but the two clubs have not yet finalized the transfer fee. He is described as the 'ideal alternative' to Nuno Mendes. Digne extended his contract with Aston Villa last summer and won the Europa League in May. He is currently playing in the World Cup in North America with France, where he has become an undisputed starter, and will face Spain in the semi-final on Tuesday. PSG will play Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup on August 12.
