Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan was discharged from Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday, following surgery on his right shoulder to treat a rotator cuff injury. The procedure was performed on July 11.
Mr. Pawan Kalyan is now heading to his home in Hyderabad.
According to doctors, the operated shoulder is expected to return to normal function within four months.
The Deputy Chief Minister had sustained injuries to both shoulders due to vigorous handshakes by admirers during his public engagements. A press release stated that the injuries worsened over time due to neglect.
