SportsCoventry City are finalizing a transfer worth over £17 million for Eintracht Frankfurt and Switzerland defender Aurele Amenda. The deal includes an initial £15.4 million fee plus £1.7 million in add-ons, with the player set to sign a four-year contract. Amenda, who was part of Switzerland's World Cup quarter-final squad, was persuaded by manager Frank Lampard and Coventry's recruitment team. This would be Coventry's third summer signing following Loum Tchaouna from Burnley and Frank Onyeka from Brentford. The Sky Blues, preparing for their first Premier League season in 25 years, are also pursuing a goalkeeper, with Brighton's Carl Rushworth and Chelsea's Filip Jorgensen as targets.
