FC Bayern Munich's new signing Ismael Saibari, a 25-year-old offensive star, arrived in Munich on July 15, 2026, at Oberpfaffenhofen special airport via private jet from Belgium. The Moroccan international, who transferred from PSV Eindhoven for approximately 50 million euros, was accompanied by family members and his agent Ali Dursun. Bayern's team manager Sonny Scherer and the club's media team greeted him on the tarmac. Saibari signed a contract with Bayern until 2031 during the World Cup. He is in the city five days before pre-season training starts on July 20, but his participation is uncertain due to a thigh injury sustained during the World Cup round of 16. No official diagnosis has been released, and recovery time is unknown. Coach Vincent Kompany, a key advocate for the transfer, looks forward to integrating Saibari, who can play attacking midfield, wings, or striker.

Munich – He is here now. BILD captured FC Bayern's new signing Ismael Saibari (25) on Wednesday at 9:56 AM upon his arrival at Oberpfaffenhofen special airport, 28 kilometers west of Munich.
The offensive star, who moved from PSV Eindhoven to the German record champions for approximately €50 million, arrived by private jet from his native Belgium. He was accompanied by numerous family members and his star agent Ali Dursun from HCM Sports Management, an agency that also represents Frenkie de Jong (29) of FC Barcelona and Viktor Gyökeres (28) of Arsenal, among others.

The travel group was received directly at the aircraft by Bayern's team manager Sonny Scherer and the club's media team, which produced video and photo footage of the new signing's arrival on the tarmac, as is customary. According to BILD information, an official welcoming ceremony is planned for the player today. Saibari already signed a contract with Bayern until 2031 during the World Cup.
Saibari, who reached the quarter-finals with his Moroccan national team at the World Cup (losing 0–2 to France), arrives in the city five days before the start of pre-season training on July 20.
Injury Status Uncertain
When he will join team training, however, remains unclear. The new Munich player suffered a thigh injury during the World Cup round of 16 (a 3–0 victory against Canada). He has not played since then. There has been no official diagnosis yet, meaning the exact recovery time is still unknown.
After his first few days in Munich with team doctor Dr. Jochen Hahne (47), it will soon be determined when the World Cup star (three goals in five appearances) can truly begin his career at Bayern.
Kompany's Key Signing
Coach Vincent Kompany (40) is particularly looking forward to working with Saibari, as he is considered a key advocate for the transfer. With Saibari, the Belgian has gained another star capable of occupying all positions in attack — whether in attacking midfield, on the wings, or as a striker.
