Robinhood Markets' new blockchain, Robinhood Chain, launched on July 1, 2026, and generated $3.1 billion in decentralized exchange (DEX) trading volume in its first week, ranking among the top five networks for DEX activity according to Wall Street broker Bernstein. The Ethereum layer-2 network, built on Arbitrum, has attracted over 65,000 users holding approximately $13 million in tokenized stocks and $300 million in stablecoins. While memecoins drove early trading, analysts expect Robinhood to increasingly focus on tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) including stocks and commodities. The launch comes as the tokenized RWA sector has grown to over $51 billion, up 50% year-to-date. Bernstein maintains an outperform rating on Robinhood with a $130 price target, while the stock traded at $110.85, down 1% intraday.

Robinhood Markets' (NASDAQ: HOOD) new blockchain has stormed out of the gate, ranking among the top five networks for decentralized exchange (DEX) activity just days after launch, according to Wall Street broker Bernstein.
Founded in 2013, Robinhood is a commission-free brokerage best known for its stock, crypto, and tokenized stock offerings. The firm has steadily deepened its digital asset footprint, from its Bitstamp acquisition to launching its own blockchain, as it pushes to bring traditional finance onchain.
$3.1 Billion in DEX Volume in One Week
Since launching its public mainnet on July 1, Robinhood Chain has generated $3.1 billion in decentralized exchange trading volume, making it a top-five chain by DEX activity, Bernstein said.
More than 65,000 users now hold roughly $13 million in tokenized stocks and $300 million in stablecoins on the network.
"Strong early adoption highlights the growing convergence of tokenized real-world assets with the broader DeFi ecosystem," wrote analysts led by Gautam Chhugani.
Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum (ETH) layer-2 built on Arbitrum, designed for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) and decentralized finance. It underpins the firm's tokenized stock offering, enabling 24/7 trading, self-custody, and onchain use cases such as lending and collateral.
Memecoins Now, Tokenized Stocks Next
While memecoins have driven early trading, Bernstein expects Robinhood to increasingly lean into tokenized RWAs, including stocks and commodities, as well as perpetual futures. The report flagged integrations with Uniswap, Morpho, Lighter, Chainlink, and BitGo as key to building liquidity.
The launch lands as tokenized RWAs outperform the broader crypto market. The sector has grown to more than $51 billion, up about 50% year to date, while tokenized equities have surged roughly 170% this year to $1.9 billion.
Bernstein has an outperform rating on Robinhood with a $130 price target. Robinhood was down 1% intraday, trading at $110.85 at press time.
