SportsReal Zaragoza is evaluating a capital injection from an investment fund that would acquire a significant shareholding stake, potentially leading to changes in the club's corporate structure and management. Former Real Zaragoza goalkeeper César Sánchez is acting as a liaison between current ownership and the fund, though he would not immediately return to the club. Sánchez is currently an external advisor to Córdoba CF representing Infinity Sports Ventura WWL, a Bahraini royal family-owned fund that rescued Córdoba from extinction. This is not the first attempt at such a deal; in 2019, Sánchez and Ander Herrera negotiated a capital increase that failed, and in 2020, they pursued a financial contribution approach that also fell through. In 2022, Sánchez led a competing bid when Real Z LLC acquired majority control. The club's board recently approved a sixth capital increase, taken up only by Jorge Mas and Juan Forcén, with Forcén now controlling about 25% of the entity. The current share distribution remains unclear due to recent changes.
