Celtic manager Martin O'Neill has confirmed that Qarabag forward Camilo Duran is poised to undergo a medical to become the Scottish champions' first summer signing. The 24-year-old Colombian will arrive for an undisclosed fee after less than a year with the Azerbaijan Premier League runners-up. Duran, who previously played for Portuguese clubs Portimonense, Estrela Amadora, and Lusitania, scored 15 goals and provided 10 assists in 48 appearances for Qarabag last season. His five goals in 10 Champions League appearances drew attention. O'Neill addressed fan concerns about Celtic's slow transfer activity compared to rivals Heart of Midlothian and Rangers, stating the club has offers in for multiple players and expects to add 'really decent players' in the coming weeks.

Qarabag forward Camilo Duran is poised to undergo a medical to become Celtic's first summer signing, manager Martin O'Neill has confirmed.
The 24-year-old Colombian will arrive for an undisclosed fee, having spent less than a year with the Azerbaijan Premier League runners-up after signing from Portuguese club Portimonense.
Duran's five goals in 10 Champions League appearances thrust him into the spotlight.
Speaking before Celtic's first public pre-season friendly against Shelbourne in Dublin, O'Neill told Celtic TV:
"We've got the young lad Duran — he is doing a medical as we speak. If he's not doing it tonight, he'll be doing it tomorrow morning."
Transfer Activity Concerns
There had been concern among Celtic fans that the club has yet to add to its squad, while last season's title rivals Heart of Midlothian have made 10 signings and third-placed Rangers have made five.
"We've a number of players we're looking at," O'Neill added. "We have offers in for players at the same time.
"Hopefully in the not too distant future, in the next couple of weeks, we will have some really decent players at the football to add to the decent players we already have at the football club.
"We are absolutely trying to improve the squad and that will be necessary."
Player Background
Duran began his senior career with Lusitania in the Portuguese District League, later moving to Estrela Amadora before returning to his previous club to help them win promotion to Liga 3. He then joined Portimonense in Liga 2.
Overall, he made 48 appearances for Qarabag — 33 of them starts — scoring 15 goals and providing 10 assists last season.
