Hupu, July 6 – According to CM website Milan correspondent Daniele Longo, negotiations between AC Milan and Lazio for Mario Hila have entered a decisive phase. The player's agent, Alejandro Camagno, arrived in Rome this morning and is set to meet directly with Lazio President Claudio Lotito in an effort to push the deal forward.
Following a surprise move last Friday, Milan now leads the race for Hila. The former Real Madrid defender is the Rossoneri's primary target to strengthen their backline, and the player himself has opened the door to a move. Milan and Hila have reached a full agreement on a five-year contract worth €5 million per year after tax. The Rossoneri can also benefit from tax advantages under Italy's Growth Decree.
The real sticking point remains at the club level. Lazio President Lotito has set a price of €30 million for Hila and currently has no intention of lowering it. Because Lazio must give 50% of the capital gains from this deal to Real Madrid, the Eagles want to maximize the final sale price.
