Italian Sky Sports journalist Di Marzio reports that Serie A side Como is preparing a new offer for Chelsea center-back Trevoh Chalobah. The offer is €30 million fixed plus €5 million in add-ons, totaling €35 million, matching Chelsea's asking price. Como's previous offer of €30 million (€28m + €2m) was rejected. Source report
Hupu, July 4th — Italian Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Como is preparing to submit a new offer to Chelsea for defender Trevoh Chalobah.
According to Sky Sports reporter Valentina Mariani, the "White and Blue Army" plans to make an offer of €30 million fixed transfer fee plus €5 million in add-ons to the Premier League club between Monday, July 6th and Tuesday, July 7th.
Previous Offer Rejected
- Como, coached by Cesc Fabregas, had already attempted to sign the defender with an initial offer of €28 million fixed plus €2 million in add-ons.
- Chelsea rejected that offer, insisting on a €35 million asking price.
Inter Milan Still in the Picture
Inter Milan remains a potential factor in Chalobah's future. The "Nerazzurri" are interested in the 1999-born player and are currently considering whether to submit an initial offer to Chelsea.
Chalobah's Season Performance
Trevoh Chalobah is a regular starter in Chelsea's lineup. The English center-back made 47 appearances in all competitions (league and cups), scoring 3 goals. His outstanding performances earned him a call-up to the England national team for the World Cup.
Although Chalobah has yet to make his World Cup debut, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has been closely monitoring him, knowing he has a defender who is solid defensively and a threat from set pieces.
England's World Cup Campaign
The England national team is dreaming of winning the World Cup. After losing two consecutive European Cup finals (to Italy in 2021 and Spain in 2024), captain Harry Kane and his teammates are eager to shed the "runner-up" label.
England's path to the tournament was not smooth:
- 4-2 win over Croatia
- Draw with Ghana
- 2-0 victory over Panama to finish the group stage
In the round of 32, Kane scored twice after the team fell behind to overturn a deficit against Congo, securing a spot in the round of 16. In the next round, England will face Mexico at the Azteca Stadium.
