24-year-old man arrested for beating father to death in Bengaluru
A 24-year-old man, Dorna Bahadur Shahi, was arrested by Varthur police in Bengaluru for allegedly beating his father, Chandra Bahadur Shahi (52), to death with an iron rod following a quarrel under the influence of alcohol. Both father and son, natives of Nepal, worked as security guards and resided in Panathur Belagere. The argument broke out on Sunday night over a trivial issue after they consumed alcohol. The accused assaulted his father, causing severe injuries. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital by his son and friends but succumbed to his injuries later that night. Police registered a case and arrested the accused.
