Yaxel Lendeborg Leads Warriors to NBA Summer League Title
Yaxel Lendeborg won his second championship in four months, leading the Golden State Warriors to a 94-90 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA Summer League final at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Lendeborg, who previously won an NCAA title with Michigan, recorded 21 points and 10 rebounds, outperforming Duke's Cameron Boozer (19 points, 8 rebounds). He became the second player ever to win both an NCAA Division I championship and a Las Vegas Summer League title in the same year, joining Davion Mitchell. The Warriors claimed their second Summer League championship, tying Sacramento and Portland for the most titles since the tournament began in 2013. Warriors summer league coach Khalid Robinson praised Lendeborg's versatility and competitive spirit, noting he is expected to complement veteran stars Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler in the regular season.
