Yaxel Lendeborg Leads Warriors to NBA Summer League Title
Yaxel Lendeborg won his second championship in four months, leading the Golden State Warriors to a 94-90 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA Summer League final at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Lendeborg, the 11th pick in the 2026 draft, recorded 21 points and 10 rebounds, outplaying Duke's Cameron Boozer (19 points, 8 rebounds). He became the second player ever to win both an NCAA Division I championship (with Michigan) and a Las Vegas Summer League title in the same year, joining Davion Mitchell. The Warriors (5-1) secured their second Summer League title, tying the Sacramento Kings and Portland Trail Blazers for most wins since 2013. Lendeborg is expected to play a complementary role alongside Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler in the regular season. Warriors summer league coach Khalid Robinson praised Lendeborg's versatility, size, and competitive spirit.
