Yanara secures $171m for Australian renewable energy portfolio
Renewable energy developer Yanara has obtained a €150 million ($171.4 million) investment from Mirova, an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers, to support its utility-scale renewable energy portfolio in Australia. The funding will expand over 2GW of renewable energy infrastructure across Victoria, New South Wales, and Western Australia. A significant portion will go to Yanara's Mortlake Energy Hub in Victoria, which combines 450MW of solar capacity with a 600MW/2,400MWh battery energy storage system across two stages. The facility will supply around 200,000 homes and avoid 880,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually. Construction of the first phase is expected to create over 300 jobs. This marks Yanara's first capital raise in Australia. EY acted as financial adviser to Yanara, while Lazard Australia advised Mirova.
