West Island Branch of Montreal's REM Opens with Four New Stations
The West Island branch of Montreal's Réseau express métropolitain (REM) officially opened on Friday, May 15, 2026, marking the end of more than a decade of development. The new Anse-à-l’Orme line adds four stations to the network: Anse-à-l’Orme, Kirkland, Fairview, and Sources, connecting Pointe-Claire to Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue.
