Weichai Unveils Five Core Tech Routes for Green, Smart Commercial Vehicles at Vietnam Expo
At the Shandong Heavy Industry global partners conference in Hanoi, Vietnam on July 21, 2026, Chinese industrial group Weichai debuted five core technology routes for commercial vehicles and heavy equipment: battery electric vehicle (BEV) powertrains, hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) powertrains, proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC), alternative-fuel internal combustion engines (ICE), and intelligent driving assistance systems (ADAS). Weichai showcased proprietary technologies including the CT100 battery, WMS3200 drive system, WEF300 fuel cell engine, WP15DI hydrogen ICE with 46.8% thermal efficiency, and mining autonomous driving solutions. The company aims to provide efficient, low-carbon, intelligent power solutions globally, addressing the green transition in transportation and heavy industry.
