Vaxart Investors Reject Say-on-Pay as CEO Rules Out Reverse Split for Now
Vaxart held its 2026 Annual Meeting of Stockholders on July 20, 2026. Investors re-elected all six director nominees and ratified the auditor WithumSmith+Brown, but rejected the non-binding say-on-pay proposal on executive compensation. CEO Steven Lo confirmed the company is not currently working on a reverse stock split, citing shareholder feedback, and prefers organic stock price growth. Lo also provided updates on Vaxart's COVID-19 vaccine program, noting positive safety data from the 400-participant sentinel cohort compared to mRNA vaccines, and plans to move to a 5,000-subject cohort targeting the KP.2 strain. The company is also seeking norovirus partnerships. The meeting had a quorum of 45.71% of eligible shares.
