Valencia Defeats Eldense 3-0 in Preseason Friendly with First-Half Brilliance
Valencia secured a convincing 3-0 victory over newly-promoted Segunda División side Eldense in their first official preseason friendly at the Antonio Puchades Stadium. The match was highlighted by a spectacular volleyed goal from Japanese prospect Ryunosuke Sato in the 24th minute, who controlled the ball with his left foot before striking with his right into the top corner. Jesús Vázquez doubled the lead in the 33rd minute by capitalizing on a rebound off the post, and Dani Raba made it 3-0 just before halftime following an assist from Sadiq. The second half saw fewer chances, though Eldense had a goal disallowed for offside. Valencia manager Carlos Corberán used the opportunity to give playing time to new signings De Haas and Dieng, as well as Diakhaby returning from injury. The match also served as preparation for the upcoming La Liga season, with Valencia showing effective finishing in the first half.
