Union Saint-Gilloise Player Mohammed Fuseini Robbed at Gunpoint in Brussels
Union Saint-Gilloise striker Mohammed Fuseini, a 24-year-old Ghanaian footballer, was the victim of an armed robbery in Brussels on Sunday, July 26, 2026. In broad daylight, three hooded individuals pulled him from his car and stole his luxury Rolex watch, valued between €8,000 and €14,000. Two other individuals also inspected his vehicle. The attack was captured on video and described as 'particularly shocking' by his club. Fuseini was examined at a hospital and has since resumed training. The Brussels prosecutor's office reported that three people were victims of similar robberies that day. A suspect was identified, arrested, and charged with robbery with violence by an organized gang. Stolen items were found during a search of his home. Fuseini has played for Union Saint-Gilloise since summer 2024, scoring 14 goals in 71 matches, including a goal in the 2025 Belgian Cup final victory.
