Tai Baribo's Late Header Earns D.C. United 1-1 Draw at Houston Dynamo
Tai Baribo scored a header in the 78th minute to secure a 1-1 away draw for D.C. United against the Houston Dynamo on Wednesday. It was D.C. United's only shot on target in the match, but Baribo's team-leading ninth goal of the season salvaged a point. Hector Herrera had given Houston the lead in the 40th minute with a clinical finish from a deflected free kick. The Dynamo dominated possession (64%) and outshot D.C. 20-9, but could not hold the lead. D.C. United (4-5-7, 19 points) has lost only once in its last nine matches but leads MLS with seven draws. Houston (7-6-2, 23 points) extended its home unbeaten streak to four matches. Both teams were playing their first regular-season games since May 23 due to the FIFA World Cup hiatus.
