Suspect Confesses to Murder of TikToker Sana Yousaf in Islamabad Court
Investigation Officer Fakhar Abbas informed the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad that Umar Hayat, the main suspect in the murder of TikToker Sana Yousaf, has confessed to the crime before a magistrate. The confession was recorded at the suspect's request and included details that aided police in recovering critical evidence. Hayat was arrested in Jaranwala, where authorities seized his mobile phone. He subsequently led investigators to Islamabad, identifying the location where a rental car was hired and pointing out the pistol allegedly used in the murder, which was recovered by police. Forensic evidence presented to the court includes a NADRA report confirming that fingerprints found on the glass door of Sana Yousaf’s room match Hayat’s. Additionally, WhatsApp conversations between the accused and the victim have been included in the investigation record. The suspect was previously identified in an identification parade. These developments were submitted to the court through Prosecutor Naveed Hussain during Friday's proceedings, marking significant progress in the high-profile case involving the social media influencer.
