Suni Lee Trains Olympic Skill Just 8 Days Into LA 2028 Comeback
Two weeks after announcing her gymnastics comeback for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, Suni Lee has already resumed elite training and is showcasing Olympic-level skills. The 23-year-old two-time gold medalist returned to Midwest Gymnastics Center in Minnesota on July 20. After just eight days of training, she posted an Instagram Story video performing the same acrobatic series she executed at the 2024 Paris Olympics: an aerial cartwheel to two layout step-outs. Lee helped Team USA win gold in the team final in Paris and also claimed bronze in the all-around and uneven bars. Lee told CBS Minnesota she has 'gotten my glow back' and brings newfound confidence to her third Olympic campaign. Her coach, Jess Graba, revealed that Lee was only at 65-70% of her full potential in Paris due to battling severe kidney disease. For LA 2028, Lee and her team aim to unlock the remaining 30% of her athletic capability.
