Strasbourg Loses 0-2 to Blackburn in Summer Friendly
Strasbourg suffered their second consecutive preseason defeat, losing 0-2 to Blackburn Rovers in a friendly match. The match began poorly for Strasbourg as Andrew Omobamidele scored an own goal in the 3rd minute following a misunderstanding with goalkeeper Milosz Piekutowski. Despite some offensive efforts, including a curling shot from Diogo Sousa in the 40th minute, Strasbourg struggled to equalize. Samuel Amo-Ameyaw won a penalty in the 52nd minute but missed with a weak low shot. Blackburn's Cantwell sealed the victory with a long-range low shot in the 84th minute. The match was played under the observation of Diego Moreira, who remains on holiday. Strasbourg's next preseason match is against Brighton, with six friendlies scheduled before their Ligue 1 opener against Marseille on August 21.
