Sporting Atlético Signs Winger Oriol Pallàs from Barcelona
Sporting Atlético, the reserve team of Sporting Gijón, has strengthened its squad for the upcoming season by signing 18-year-old winger Oriol Pallàs on a free transfer from FC Barcelona. The move, first reported by LA NUEVA ESPAÑA, sees Pallàs join the red-and-white club until 2028. Born in Barcelona on August 10, 2007, Pallàs was formed in the youth system of RCD Espanyol and last season played for Barcelona's top youth team. He will join Sporting's reserve team with the aim of being a key player in their campaign to earn promotion from Tercera Federación. Pallàs will be reunited with reserve team coach Óscar López, who also has a significant background in the Barcelona youth academy, which is expected to aid his adaptation. The club values Pallàs's youth and his profile as a direct, fast winger, noting he has participated in some training sessions with Barça's first team. This signing follows those of Moha Dahmouni and Dani Noya as Sporting Atlético pursues promotion.
