Spain Mint Issues Limited-Edition Silver Coin to Celebrate 2026 World Cup Victory
Ten days after Spain's men's national football team won the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA-Canada-Mexico tournament, the Royal Mint of Spain announced a limited-edition commemorative silver coin. The coin, made of 925 sterling silver, is limited to 50,000 pieces worldwide and priced at €60.33 (excluding VAT). The obverse features a left-facing portrait of King Felipe VI, while the reverse displays the official World Cup logo, the FIFA trophy in color, two yellow stars representing Spain's two World Cup titles, and the face value of 5 euros. The coin will be available from July 31, 2026, at the Royal Mint Museum, its official website, and authorized partners. This follows previous commemorative coins issued after Spain's 2010 men's World Cup win and the women's team's 2023 victory.
