South Korean Footwear Unit to Boost Industrial Growth in Annamayya District
District Collector Nishant Kumar announced that a ₹245-crore export-oriented footwear components manufacturing unit proposed by South Korea's Boyoung Company will boost industrial growth and employment in Annamayya district, Andhra Pradesh. The Collector joined a Boyoung delegation to inspect the Tatiguntapalli Industrial Park in Valmikipuram mandal for the proposed project. The investment, planned in collaboration with SKI Corp Group, will be implemented in three phases, manufacturing shoelaces, webbings, and other footwear accessories for leading international brands. The company requires nearly 40 acres initially, with provisions for future expansion. The Collector highlighted the district's strategic location, excellent highway connectivity, skilled workforce, power and water access, and government incentives as key advantages for investors.
