US Singer D4vd Pleads Not Guilty to Murder of Missing Teen Girl
US musician D4vd, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke, has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The teen vanished in April 2025, and her dismembered remains were found in September 2025 in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to Burke's Texas address. Burke, 21, faces additional charges of murder for financial gain and murder of a witness to an investigation. Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman stated that the teen was a witness in an investigation of sexual acts committed by Burke, and that the murder was allegedly committed to protect his musical career. The DA's office may seek the death penalty. Burke did not speak during his arraignment; his lawyers entered the plea on his behalf.
