Sevilla Bets on Real Madrid Goalkeeper Fran González
Sevilla FC has decided to pursue Real Madrid Castilla goalkeeper Fran González as a replacement for Vlachodimos. The 21-year-old, 1.99m tall, is a Spanish U21 international who made his La Liga debut two seasons ago. An agreement with the player is practically finalized, and Sevilla is now negotiating with Real Madrid over a co-ownership formula, as the club's financial constraints limit them to shared ownership. Fran González's contract with Real Madrid runs until 2028, and the white club wants to retain future options on him. Last season, he played 28 matches for Castilla, reaching the promotion phase to the Second Division. Sevilla warns that the deal is not close and that Fran González is not their only option. Meanwhile, youth goalkeeper Alberto Flores is set to go on loan to a Second Division team to gain experience.
