Royal Netherlands Navy Integrates Uncrewed Systems into Fleet Combat Management System
The Royal Netherlands Navy (RNLN) successfully tested and demonstrated the IDUS (Intelligent Distribution of Unmanned Systems) software during the June 2026 MUST (Maritime Uncrewed Sea Trials) series from Den Helder. IDUS, a Dutch-made C2 software family, was integrated with the navy's indigenous CAMS/Force Vision Guardion combat management system (CMS). The trials proved simultaneous tasking of uncrewed aerial, surface, and sub-surface systems, including autonomous operations and swarming. Captain Sjoerd Feenstra confirmed the software's ability to connect IDUS to Guardion and manage multi-domain missions. The integration supports the RNLN's MUTF (Maritime Uncrewed Task Force) construct and aims to accelerate innovation for NATO-relevant operations in the North Sea, including protection of critical undersea infrastructure.
