Romain Spitzer Named CEO of Bottega Veneta
Kering has appointed veteran beauty executive Romain Spitzer as CEO of Bottega Veneta, effective September 1, 2026. Spitzer, who previously served as president and CEO of Fragrance Group LVMH Beauty, will be based in Milan and report to Kering CEO Luca de Meo, also joining Kering's executive committee. His appointment ends a months-long search following the departure of former CEO Bartolomeo Rongone to Moncler in March. Spitzer, a graduate of ESCP Business School, began his career at Guerlain in 1995 and has held senior roles at Jean Paul Gaultier Parfums, Yves Saint Laurent Parfums, and Parfums Christian Dior, where he was instrumental in the success of the Sauvage fragrance. He joins Bottega Veneta amid a turnaround effort under de Meo, who aims to double non-leather goods business under creative director Louise Trotter. Kering stated Spitzer will focus on enhancing brand desirability, deepening client connections, and driving retail excellence.
