Rolling Stones Tie Beatles for Second-Most No. 1 Albums in UK History
The Rolling Stones have achieved their fifteenth No. 1 album on the UK Official Albums chart with their new release 'Foreign Tongues', tying The Beatles for the second-most number-one albums in UK history. The milestone also places them ahead of Taylor Swift, who has 14 No. 1s, and behind only Robbie Williams, who holds the record with 16 solo No. 1s. The album debuted at No. 1 on five UK charts simultaneously, including Official Albums Sales, Official Album Downloads, Official Physical Albums, and Official Vinyl Albums. Despite tying in number of No. 1 albums, The Beatles still dominate in total weeks at the top with 176 weeks compared to the Rolling Stones' 37 weeks. 'Foreign Tongues' marks the band's 65th appearance on the Official Albums chart and their first new entry since 'Live at the Wiltern' in March 2024.
