Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre in Mysuru on August 1
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre (Viveka Smaraka) in Mysuru on August 1 at 3:30 p.m. The memorial is built at Niranjana Math (Old Anathalaya) on N.S. Road, where Swami Vivekananda stayed as a wandering monk in November 1892. Swami Gautamananda Maharaj, president of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, will attend, and Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar will be the guest of honour. The centre includes a basement and G+3 main building (75,300 sq. ft.) plus a G+2 annex (6,300 sq. ft.), housing a 4-D Experience Centre, exhibition hall, 700-seat amphitheatre, classrooms, conference halls, library, reading room, and meditation/yoga hall. It aims to serve as a training hub for over 10,000 students. Following the inauguration, Modi will visit Sri Ramakrishna Ashram in Yadavagiri and address a gathering at Vidyashala Stadium. The project began after bhoomi puja on July 11, 2022, and was completed under Swami Muktidananda's leadership.
