Potential Bhatia-led investment could value Liverpool FC at $6bn
Liverpool Football Club could be valued at over $6 billion as Fenway Sports Group (FSG) engages in talks with a consortium led by British-Indian businessman Amit Bhatia, co-owner of Queens Park Rangers, for a significant minority stake sale. The consortium is reportedly backed by the Mittal family, owners of the Rajasthan Royals IPL franchise. FSG confirmed the interest but stated no deal has been finalized. If completed, the valuation would be among the highest in sports history. The news comes amid FSG's recent abandonment of multi-club expansion plans and the departure of chief of football Michael Edwards. Liverpool, managed by Andoni Iraola after Arne Slot's departure, has won two Premier League titles and a Champions League under FSG's ownership since 2010.
