London police are preparing an unprecedented security operation involving approximately 4,000 officers, helicopters, and dog units to prevent violence during two major protests scheduled for this weekend. The demonstrations include an anti-Israel march marking Nakba Day and an anti-immigration rally organized by activist Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, also known as Tommy Robinson. Deputy Assistant Commissioner James Harman stated that police would employ the most assertive use of their powers to forestall disorder. Conversely, Robinson’s rallies have been associated with anti-Muslim chanting and violence. In preparation, Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s government banned seven foreign far-right agitators from entering the country to attend Robinson’s event.
