NVision Secures $55M Series B to Pivot from Quantum Sensing to Computing
NVision has successfully closed a $55 million Series B financing round, bringing its total capital raised to $120 million. The investment was anchored by Abbott as the sole strategic diagnostics investor and included a $17 million venture loan from the European Investment Bank, with additional participation from Playground Global, Matterwave/b2ventures, and Entrée Capital. Concurrently, NVision announced a strategic pivot from quantum-enhanced sensing into quantum computing. This shift aims to create a integrated 'compute and validate' workflow, leveraging quantum computation for drug candidate design and its existing sensing technology for biological validation. The company’s established POLARIS platform, which enhances MRI signals using Parahydrogen-Induced Polarization, is scheduled for deployment in 20 global research and clinical centers by 2026. Furthermore, NVision introduced its new Photonic Integrated Quantum Circuits (PIQC) architecture, utilizing organic molecule-based qubits on photonic chips. This scalable hardware approach targets the simulation of complex biological systems to accelerate drug discovery for previously inaccessible therapeutic targets, combining molecular spin coherence with standard semiconductor manufacturing processes.
