Nottingham Forest Interested in Liam Delap; Chelsea May Sell Him This Summer
Daily Mail chief reporter Kieran Gil reports from Sydney that Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen is set to leave the club, most likely joining sister club Strasbourg. Striker Liam Delap, who joined from Ipswich for £30 million last summer, may be sold to make way for Danny Welbeck. Nottingham Forest are interested in Delap, but he started in Chelsea's 6-4 friendly win over Western Sydney Wanderers, suggesting no immediate transfer. Delap was substituted after an hour and was overshadowed by replacement Joao Pedro, who scored a hat-trick and provided an assist. Chelsea has made clear Joao Pedro is not for sale despite Barcelona's interest. Meanwhile, winger Jamie Gittens has regained form, scoring in three consecutive warm-up matches. Chelsea also urgently needs new set-piece specialist Austin MacPhee, as the Wanderers scored from a corner.
