Nigeria Grants Rwandan Nationals 30-Day Visa-Free Entry
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has officially implemented a 30-day visa-free entry policy for Rwandan nationals, effective immediately. This directive follows an announcement by Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the Africa CEO Forum held in Kigali, Rwanda. The move is described as a reciprocal gesture to the similar visa exemption previously extended by the Rwandan government to Nigerian citizens. Under this new bilateral arrangement, Rwandan passport holders can enter Nigeria without a visa for up to 30 days for lawful purposes, including tourism, business trips, and official engagements. Individuals wishing to stay longer than the approved 30-day period must obtain the appropriate visa through Nigerian diplomatic missions abroad or via the e-Visa channel. The NIS confirmed that all international entry points, including airports, land borders, and seaports, have been instructed to enforce the policy immediately.
