Nicol: Can't Understand Liverpool's Summer Transfers, At This Point They Should Have Completed More Signings
Liverpool legend Steve Nicol expressed shock and bafflement on ESPN regarding the club's summer transfer activity. With pre-season already started and only 36 days until the Premier League opener, Liverpool has signed only center-back Jakai and left winger Munoz, while letting go more players than they brought in. Nicol criticized the lack of experienced signings, calling the Munoz deal puzzling and stating the squad needs at least five or six more new players. He warned that delays will force the club into risky, rushed reinforcements. Manager Iraola confirmed sporting director Richard Hughes is working on another winger, and Szoboszlai signed a new contract, but Nicol remains deeply concerned about squad depth and the club's planning.
