Nadara finalises $1.36bn refinancing for European renewables portfolio
Nadara, a next-generation independent power producer, has secured approximately €1.2 billion ($1.36 billion) in pan-European platform refinancing for its portfolio of 47 wind and solar photovoltaic plants across Finland, France, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and the UK. The assets, comprising 34 onshore wind farms and 13 solar PV plants with a combined capacity of 1.5GW, will be consolidated under a single financing structure. The transaction aims to enhance financial flexibility, support continued growth, and unlock capital from mature projects to reinvest in new clean energy initiatives such as repowering, hybridisation, and battery storage. A group of commercial lenders provided the refinancing, which Nadara describes as a landmark step in its post-merger development and a contribution to Europe's net-zero goals.
