The government also cleared ₹43 crore in outstanding sugarcane dues for farmers in the Sasamusa area, paving the way for revival of the Sasamusa Sugar Mill. Additionally, 266 acres of land from the closed Motipur Sugar Mill will be used for a new sugar mill, research centre, and other industrial units. The sugar mills have achieved 100% payment of ₹2,137.83 crore in sugarcane dues for the 2025-26 crushing season.
