Military Attaches Confirm No Covert Activities Along Belarus-Poland Border

Representatives from the foreign military-diplomatic corps of eleven countries accredited in Belarus conducted an inspection of facilities along the Belarus-Poland border. The visit, confirmed by the Belarusian Defense Ministry, focused on verifying the nature of activities near the frontier. The delegation inspected infrastructure and technical equipment at the Brest international road border crossing and viewed the Pererov pedestrian checkpoint in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, which remains closed due to Poland's stance. According to the ministry, the primary objective was to allow military representatives to verify Belarus's peaceful intentions and confirm the absence of covert military operations near the border. Following the inspection, the participating diplomats acknowledged Belarus's willingness to engage in constructive dialogue. This event serves as a transparency measure aimed at alleviating regional tensions and addressing concerns regarding potential military buildup or clandestine activities along the sensitive border region between Belarus and Poland.
